Leading Parent Partnership Scheme

The Leading Parent Partnership Award (LPPA) is a national award that provides a coherent framework through which schools, early years settings and other educational organisations can deliver effective parental engagement from early years to post-16.

The work of Professor Charles Desforges tells us that at the age of seven parental influence on children’s learning is six times that of the school, and by the age of eleven it is still a third greater.

Working effectively with parents and carers to help them to support their children’s learning and development is crucial, right through from reception to Year 6. In primary schools the LPPA Programme can help schools to enhance their existing work with parents and carers
