Pastoral Care

It is important that home and school work together in partnership and that any information regarding the health and welfare of your child is communicated to the school.  General information can be sent to school or communicated verbally at the beginning or end of day. If you wish to speak to a teacher personally, please come to the Reception at the front of school to make an appointment with your child’s class teacher. Confidential or more complex issues may involve an appointment at a mutually convenient time; the Headteacher will be pleased to arrange these appointments for you if you telephone in advance.

Mrs Davies, Welfare and Pastoral Manager is skilled in working with individuals and groups of children where a need has been identified, for example self esteem, anger management, friendship issues.

Parenting groups are run throughout the year – these appear in our weekly newsletter.

If you have any worries about your child that you would like to discuss with Mrs Davies, please phone before 10.00am for an informal chat, or to make an appointment..

Our priority is the welfare of your child, therefore there may be occasions when our concern for your child involves consulting other agencies before we contact you. The procedures we follow have been laid down by the Wigan Area Child Protection Committee.
