18.10.20 Parents, Carers and Children,
For those of you who are still unable to attend school at the moment due to self-isolation, I will continue to set remote learning each day for your child to complete if they are well. I will be available to answer any of your questions up until 4.00pm, however, please bear in mind that I will be class teaching for the majority of the day. Can I ask that picture/written evidence of any work completed is also sent in by this time.
Each day, I will include a Maths and English task Your child will be expected to complete all tasks and access the online resources available to them. If you are unable to print worksheets out, then please still follow the tasks and record any work on paper.
I look forward to seeing your child's work :-)
Thanks, Mrs Southern.
We enjoyed a great Mindfulness session last week led by Frances Abbott. The session taught us breathing techniques and encouraged us to use all our senses to help us 'stay in the moment' and develop a sense of calm. A great way to focus our minds during this confusing time.
The children brought home their own bag of resources, that were used in the session, so that they can try these techniques at home as well as at school. This contained an eye mask and a a range of objects to help develop the senses e.g.
- A scented candle (used unlit for holding and smelling), bubble-wrap (for sound), a feather (for touch) etc.
Ask your child about these and maybe you could try some Mindfulness too!
Please find below the Remote Learning Plan for Y6 if they are unwell or need to work from home...
